Located in Northern Jackson Hole, the Hatchet Resort is a historic gem offering Grand Teton and Yellowstone lodging in Moran, WY. The Hatchet offers a glimpse of the life of early settlers to Jackson Hole. Built in 1954 to support motorists and tourism new to our region, the Hatchet is honored to be listed with the Teton County Historical Preservation Board.

Uniquely situated at the gateway to both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park, the Hatchet combines western charm with an authentic Jackson Hole experience. Step right outside your door for the area’s best fishing, biking, hiking, horseback riding and wildlife safaris.
Secluded and fully accessible, the Hatchet sits on seven spectacularly scenic acres of national forest land with views of Mount Moran to the west. A prized location for corporate groups, board retreats, family reunions, and weddings from May through October. It’s also perfect for simply relaxing surrounded by views of the magnificent Teton Range.

Look up ‘resort’ and you’ll find the word ‘alternative,’ ‘haunt,’ and ‘refuge’ these are the reasons we use the word ‘resort’ in our name. We have your haunt, your alternative and most especially your refuge from the chaos of most vacation experiences.

Directions
We are conveniently located just outside of Grand Teton National Park, east of the park on highway US 287, only 8 miles from Moran, Wyoming and 35 miles from the south entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
Not only are the national parks right next door, our location also borders the Bridger-Teton National Forest with forest service access roads directly behind our property. There is also a forest service information center next to the Hatchet Resort to help you explore one of our nation’s largest national forests and wilderness locations.
