About Hatchet Resort
Nestled at the foot of the Teton Mountains sits the Hatchet Resort, a historically restored lodge built in 1954, offering modern accommodations with a rustic, western style. Centrally located in Moran, Wyoming, the resort is situated in an ideal location with proximity to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. If you’re looking for an authentic wild west experience away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, the Hatchet Resort is a place of rustic luxury where you can relax and unplug. We are proud to be listed with the Teton County Historical Preservation Board.
Lodging/Room Options
The Hatchet Resort has rooms for every budget and size of group. There are standard rooms, economy rooms, deluxe rooms, suites, and cabins. The Hunter’s Cabin is a couple’s retreat secluded from the rest of the resort by a bridge and nestled beside a serene pond. Groups can stay in the Osprey House, an A-frame home with five bedrooms that sleeps 10 people. The rest of the rooms are part of the main lodge with varying bed arrangements.
Resort Amenities
The Whetstone Restaurant serves dinner nightly with delicious entrees ranging from steak to pasta. The Historic Hatchet Grill serves a variety of hearty breakfast dishes to fuel you up for a day of activities. Rooms are equipped with 40” flat screen TVs, coffee makers, comfortable beds with new linens, and WiFi. Pets are welcome.
Corporate groups can take advantage of our meeting spaces that accommodate up to 60 and include all necessary tech including WiFi and audio-visual equipment for conferences. Group accommodations can be met with adjoining suites.
The Hatchet Resort is a popular wedding venue where couples come to tie the knot in a rustic, western atmosphere. Outdoor weddings with mountain views can be followed up with an elegant reception in our Whetstone Restaurant or outside on our Mount Moran Meadow.
