Constructed in 1954 of hand-crafted lodge pole pine, from the surrounding Bridger-Teton Forest, these rooms are renovated annually. Historic and preserved with the character of the region, these rooms accommodate four people. Pristine and unique, these rooms welcome you to the mountains as you step out to the crisp clean scent of pine each morning. Each room has two queen beds, full bathroom, desk, telephone, Wi-Fi, 40” flat screen TV, coffee maker and individual thermostat controls for radiant heating.

Suites

Built in 2004, these suites are all made of rustic log construction with vaulted ceilings, and are located adjacent to the historic wing. Each room has west facing views of the Tetons and offers a refrigerator, 40” flat screen TV, Wi-Fi access, coffee maker and microwave oven. These rooms also feature a queen bed, day bed plus trundle (twin) in the living area and a full bathroom.

Deluxe Room

Built in 2013, our oversized deluxe room has a four post king bed, daybed (twin) and trundle (twin) in the sitting area. The Deluxe room is one of only three free standing cabins on property, and our most popular room for wedding couples. Huge windows on two sides give this space lots of natural light. The bathroom has a separate shower area with plenty of storage for clothing. Walk out your private slider to amazing views of the Tetons.

Hunter’s Cabin

Built in the 1970’s this free standing cabin is set apart from the rest of the property. Cross a bridge to get to it, and stay on the remote south side of the property adjacent to forest service land and a spring fed pond.

Charm abounds with the king bed in the loft, living room, full bath and a kitchen with stove, refrigerator and microwave on the first floor. The Hunter’s Cabin has been fully renovated, however make no mistake its original uneven floors were left as a nod to the history and quirky nature of this secluded cabin.

Native to the area both on the Hatchet property and the national forest land, the Hunter’s Cabin is surrounded in the summer with Fire Weed. The purple blooms allow for magnificent flowering views right outside in your yard. This unit also has great walking access to Forest Road 30160 for beautiful hikes through the Bridger Teton National Forest land.

Part of the original “motor court” concept in 1954 these rooms were the ‘joints’ of the building as the construction team shifted direction of the structure to make it’s signature U shape while maintaining the character of the property. Ideal for one or two people (max) this room has a queen bed, full bath, coffee maker, Wi-Fi access and 40” flat screen television.

Steve & I just wanted to say THANK YOU for such a wonderful wedding weekend! The Hatchet was the perfect place for the celebration, and we are so glad we chose it. The sunset was gorgeous, and the photo booth in the teepee was great!

The food was excellent and the accommodations were very western, which is what the trip was called, “a Western Adventure!”

Our stay at Hatchet was one for the record books, and our accommodations were first class. I am already planning on coming back with Gretchen next summer, and also have my daughter and grandkids join us.
